The Avenue of the Volcanoes from Quito towards Baños is an unforgettable adventure that you can’t miss if you travel to Ecuador. Itinerary:

 

Day 1: Cotopaxi National Par

 

Cotopaxi National Park is a must-see destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Located in the Ecuadorian Andes, the park is home to the Cotopaxi Volcano, standing at 5,897 meters above sea level is the second Ecuador's highest peak and one of the most active volcanoes in the world. You can admire its snow-capped peak from different viewpoints, hike around Limpiopungo Lake, or challenge yourself to ascend to the refuge and the glacier, depending on the weather. Our tour guide will tailor this activity to your fitness level and interest. Along the way, you will encounter a variety of flora and fauna from the Paramos. You will also learn about the history and culture, and visit a little museum. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the beauty and diversity of Cotopaxi National Park. Overnight in the Cotopaxi area

Day 2: Quilotoa Crater Lake - Indigenous Market

 

We will continue our trip through the legendary "Avenue of the Volcanos" to Quilotola, a beautiful volcanic lake in Ecuador’s Andes created by a massive eruption. On this tour, you will enjoy the stunning moorland vistas from various angles, visit a native family, and discover their customs and lifestyle. You will also get to descend to the lake and there you have some optional activities such as paddling on its blue-green waters or horseback riding back to the top. To deepen your cultural experience, we'll also visit the famous Tigua Painters, a group of artists who make colorful paintings of the Andean scenery and animals. This tour is a great way to enjoy the charm and diversity of Ecuador’s highlands. Overnight in Baños.

Day 3: Baños, the swing of the treehouse and waterfalls route

 

We begin with a short hike to the “Treehouse,” where the stunning photo that won the National Geographic 2014 contest was taken. You will be amazed by the spectacular gardens and scenery, and enjoy the thrill of the swings. As we continue our journey, we will visit several waterfalls along the way, such as the Manto de La Novia, where you can take a cable car over the valley, admire the scenery, or even choose a zip line activity (For an additional fee). At last, we will reach the splendid “Pailón del Diablo” waterfall, one of the top ten largest waterfalls in Ecuador. A two-kilometer hike will bring you to this enchanting place. On the way, you will experience the force and beauty of nature in its rawest form. Enjoy lunch with a spectacular view of the Pastaza River. After a full day of adventure, we return to Quito.

- The standard tour includes accommodation at 3-4 star hotels like Casa 1881 in Riobamba, while the comfort option offers a stay at 4-5 star hotels such as Hacienda Abraspundo.

- Bookings made within 10 days prior to arrival are subject to guide availability.

- For 1 to 6 passengers, a bilingual tour guide will also serve as a driver.
